Fifteen
A sliding puzzle: push the numbered tiles back into order, 1, 2, 3 …
How to play
Tap a tile next to the gap, or any tile in the same row or column, and every tile between slides toward the gap at once. Arrow keys work too. P or Esc pauses.
Rules and score
Each tile that moves one cell uses one move. Solve a board to score its tiles (8 on 3×3, 15 on 4×4) and get more moves for the next one. Boards 1 and 2 are 3×3; from board 3 they are 4×4. If your moves run out before the board is solved, the game ends. Every board is shuffled so it can be solved within the moves you have.
Tips
- Finish the top row first, then the next, and don't break a finished row.
- Put the last two tiles of a row in together, side by side.
- Solve the last two rows column by column from the left.
- Unused moves carry over. Fewer moves beats faster moves.
